To our valued AMES Customer:
As with many of you, we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and best practice recommendations from federal, state and local officials around the clock. We are actively taking steps to make sure we can continue to serve you and maintain the health and safety of both you our customer as well as our associates while our nation deals with this pandemic.
As an essential business in the construction industry, our corporate service center and AMES store locations will remain open for normal business operation and normal hours. We have, however, implemented a social distance practice of 10 customers in any AMES store at any given time and request you remain 6 feet apart from one another. While the situation continues to change daily, this plan may in fact change and we will do our best to notify you of any disruption of service.
Please know that we have precautions in place to ensure a healthy visit to our AMES store locations nationwide:
- Cleaning and disinfecting all stores nightly – including high-traffic areas such as our service counters, credit card terminals, restrooms and door handles.
- Encouraging frequent hand washing of all store associates and remaining home should they feel any symptoms or exposure to anyone who tests positive.
- Store support in surrounding markets should we be required to close a store.
- 10 person customer limit at any given time
Remember the key priorities to mitigate and prevent this virus from spreading:
- Frequent hand washing
- Social distancing
- Covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing
- Call your doctor if you feel symptoms
- Refrain from exposing others if you feel symptoms by self-quarantine
